Jose Rosales-Cumbicos, of Newark, was struck around 6:25 a.m. on the westbound side of the highway in Newark near milepost 13.4, New Jersey State Police Trooper Troy McNair said.
Rosales-Cumbico died as a result of his injuries, McNair said. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) said it is investigating the incident.
